Deep inside, I believe that all people are ultimately good at heart
Amelia is the third of seven girls born into the Atwater family. While the name Atwater once meant something, they have long since gone broke, their only chance at becoming wealthy again hinging on marrying one or all of their daughters off to a suitably wealthy suitor. While she wants to help her family in any way she can, Amelia doesn't want to marry for necessity, she wants to marry for love. Even as her father is on the lookout for a savior, she herself is waiting to find someone who can make her heart feel full.
